GetSourceDirect

How it works

Find a manufacturer. Agree terms with them directly.

GetSourceDirect is a marketplace, not a broker. Businesses publish what they make and the terms they will sell on. You compare those terms, contact the business, and settle the deal with them.

The sourcing journey

Five steps, all of which work today

  1. DiscoverSearch the marketplace or open a category to see what sellers have actually published. Every listing is written by the business that makes or supplies the product.
  2. CompareRead the published unit price, currency, minimum order quantity and the country the seller is based in. These are the seller own terms, not estimates we calculated.
  3. ContactSend an inquiry with your quantity, specification and destination. It goes to the business you chose, so their quote can be accurate.
  4. Agree termsNegotiate price, payment method, shipping and lead time directly with the seller. The two of you are the counterparties; we are not a party to that contract.
  5. Source directlyThe business ships to you and you settle with them. There is no intermediary between the conversation and the order.

For buyers

Sourcing as a buyer

Nothing is hidden behind a login and there is no membership fee. You can search, compare and contact a business without paying the platform anything.

  • Search by product, category or country.
  • Filter on unit price and minimum order quantity.
  • Save the listings you want to compare.
  • Contact as many businesses as you need.

Where the platform sits

Each party in a distribution chain carries its own margin. Contacting the maker directly lets you see the price before those margins are added. Whether buying direct works out cheaper depends on the product, the quantity, shipping, duties and the terms you negotiate — the marketplace does not claim a fixed saving.

Traditional sourcing

A product commonly passes through several businesses before reaching the buyer.

Through GetSourceDirect

The platform boundary

Being precise about this matters more than sounding complete.

What GetSourceDirect does

  • Publish listings a business wrote and priced itself.
  • Review a registration and profile before approval.
  • Route an inquiry to the seller it was addressed to.
  • Keep buyer contact details off the public site.

What it does not do

  • Process payments or hold buyer funds in any form.
  • Operate escrow, payment protection, refunds or disputes.
  • Manage shipping, delivery or order tracking.
  • Guarantee a supplier, quote, lead time or sale.
